Pure Breu Resin -

       Extracted from the Almacega tree of the Amazon rainforest, scared Breu resin ("Breuzinho" of "White Breu") is used in healing rituals, to ward of evil spirits, and to create good energy.  It also posses the property that causes regression experiences and conscious dreams after ritualistic use.

       Breu's aromatic resin is rich in alpha and beta-amyrina triterpenes, which posses anti-infammatory, analgesic, and gastro-protective properties. (Dept. of Physiology and Pharmacology of the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil.)  The resin in indicated for respiratory trouble, stomach ache, liver malfunction, and mental acuity.

 

White Sage with Breu Resin -

       Salvia Apiana (white sage, bee sage, or sacred sage) is an evergreen perennial shrub native to the southwestern United States and Northwestern Mexico, sound mainly on the coast of the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts.  S. Apiana is widely used by Pacific Coast Native American groups.  The Cahuilla women drink a tea from the roots for healing after childbirth.  The leaves are also burned by many for smoke based purification rituals.  A study perform at the University of Arizona in 1991 demonstrated that S. Apiana posesses antibacterial properties.

 

Palo Santo with Breu Resin

       The Andean indigenous Bursera Graveolens tree naturally produces aromatic hypoallergenic resin that grows in the concentration of age.  The value of this scared gift was clear from the first discovery of its lasting torchlight and beautiful scent.  B. Graveolens lives for 40-90 years; after death. the wood matures four to ten more years before it "falls."  Only the is it consecrated as "Sacred Wood" (Palo Santo).
